I am an assistant professor in the Computer Science department at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. I obtained my PhD in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno in 2017. I received my Master’s degree in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno in 2015.
My research focuses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and data mining.
In particular, I focus on investigating and developing novel techniques to enhance performance of classification systems and to enable early recognition of patterns prevalent in emerging fields such as human-robot interaction and human-computer interaction.
I am looking for hardworking, creative, and self-motivated graduate (PhD & Master’s) and undergraduate students with interests in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics.
